Serge Gainsbourg

I had a dream last night that there was a virus going around that was kind of like epilepsy. Basically you'd get fits that would make you think you were dating a high school aged Serge Gainsbourg. Once ths fit was over you'd be back to your old self until the next fit would unexpectedly hit. Eventually, like a virus it would subside.

Sometimes my dreams are better than movies.

Ode to summer

Textures, colours, brilliant sunlight and funny people.

Patterns in behaviour, patterns in wallpaper and dresses.

The smell of summer and the feel of a summer breeze.

Summer, I hope you will be good to me and fill the next four months with all of the above....and also some gelato.

Did I ever mention that Vancouver has some of the most odd looking foliage? Here are some plants that look like tribbles.

Nick & Lena

These are our friends Nick and Lena. I think they are the cutest couple ever! I used to think that Dane and I were the cutest couple ever....but Nick and Lena definately win this one.

Here are a few quick shots that I took of the new store.

The large rectangles of light in the ceiling are wonderful skylights. They remind me of a gallery in Prague that I used to love going to because it was a giant room with huge skylights that made you feel weightless as if you were underwater. In the shop it feels more like you are bathed in something very precious....because light in Vancouver is a precious commodity.

Lark+April 1st = A miracle!

1 Chipped ankle bone (Dane's) resulting in the need of a cane.
1 Contractor with serious stomach problems (wasn't able to eat for a full week...no exageration)
1 Contractor with an ear infection & double booked

1 Pre-booked employee

12 Days x 16-18 hours

= Lark now on Main Street!
